We enjoyed a very exciting gift exchange to celebrate Christmas. Each child was encouraged to bring in a gift that was labeled with a gender and age range. The children then were allowed to chose 1 gift to open before Christmas. They were beyond excited to open a special gift from a friend at daycare. Here are 2 pictures from the gift exchange that took place on Wednesday.
Our ministry was the perfect addition to our dynamic school community which has helped families stay together in one trustworthy location. We offer top notch loving care for infants starting at 6 weeks through 3 year old children.

We are Family
Lucy created her family with Play-Doh and it reminded all of us how we are one in family. I truly feel that all of the children in our daycare are like family. They treat each other with love and respect. It was a blessing to be able to open a childcare ministry that can teach children one very important lesson from the Bible. "Love one another as I have loved you". We create that type of environment within our ministry and it shows in our children's attitude and behavior every day.
Eating with the BIG KIDS
The children at Little Ramsies think it is so special to eat lunch in the school cafeteria. Almost everyday they will ask if they can "eat lunch with the big kids"! It is so wonderful being around young children because they teach us to enjoy the little things in life.
Babies, Babies, Babies
Within the Little Ramsies daycare, you will find some very sweet bundles of joy! We currently have several babies enrolled including these smiling faces. In this photo we have Jack, Julian, and Abby. They have their own "Infant Zone" where they can sit in the Bumbo seat, lie down for some tummy time, roll around on the play mat, or rock to sleep in the swing. The older children in our daycare absolutely LOVE the babies. They are always coming over to talk with them, share toys, or just give a beautiful smile.
In the picture below, you will see Jack and Julian having some tummy fun time together. They are buddies!

Nighty-Night, Sweet Dreams...
Each day at Little Ramsies, we take a rest time. This occurs between noon and 2pm. Each child has their own cot or crib. They bring their own crib sheet, blanket, and other comforting items to relax. Most of our children take a nap during this time. It recharges everyone's batteries for a fun-filled afternoon!
This picture is of Ali and her sleeping buddy, Tooey who is a Dr. Seuss character. She snuggles up with him every rest time. Ali is sleeping on one of our cots. Each cot has it's own mattress.

Hallo-FUN Week!
The Little Ramsies have already had a week of exciting arts and crafts! We made spooky ghosts with footprints, stuffed a bag full of newspaper and painted it orange to look like a pumpkin, and started painting wooden pictures of haunted houses and scarecrows. It's only Tuesday so there are so many more activities in store!!
The children are encouraged to bring in their Halloween costume on Thursday and Friday for our party. I will definitely be posting pictures of their costumes!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
We have been doing our best to stay warm and dry at Little Ramsies. The kids continue to ask when they can go out to the playground. Today we made up a fun game of Hide and Seek with a twist. The toys were the hiders and the kids were the seekers. All but 1 of the kids were in the bathroom while that 1 child would hide the specific "hiding" toy. We yelled, "Ready or not, here we come!" and the children would run out of the bathroom to seek the hidden toy.
The very best part of all... the child who hid the toy usually found the toy and yelled "I FOUND IT!". That was the teachable moment of the game. The one who hides the toy can't find it too. They couldn't get enough of this game. It was so much fun!
This photo is of some of the children walking to the gym with Miss Anne to get some energy out! We always try to hold hands while walking through the parking lot. It is definitely a challenge for some.

Beautiful Weather
At Little Ramsies, we love to take advantage of this gorgeous Indiana fall weather! The children really enjoy playing on the playground equipment. They build mulch castles, play train conductor on the green bridge, and practice large motor skills like marching and galloping.
